This Developing Brain Infographic is part of Terry Talks, a series of ongoing video presentations and supporting materials led by Terry Laura (Health Technical Advisor at Compassion International). The resources are aimed at equipping and encouraging health and child advocates to learn, build on, and put into practice their expertise in health, especially as it relates to children in poverty. Humans learn more in the first five years of life than in any other period of life. Eighty percent of a child's brain is formed by their third birthday. If we want children to become healthy, successful adults, we have to start early building solid foundations for growth, learning, health, and behavior in children's brains. Explore this infographic to learn more about the developing brain and the importance of advocating for children's health.
