The Core Curriculum for children between the ages of 6 and 8 includes 43 lessons that work to develop the motivation and skills for children to be economically self-supporting as they grow older. Lessons include practical and pragmatic topics to engage critical thinking, with units focusing on “Who Am I?,” “Study Skills,” “Water,” “Understanding Pollution,” “Food Groups,” “Cook a Local Meal,” “Real-Life Problem Solving,” “Raising Food,” ”Critical Thinking Skills,” “Beginning Research,” “Natural Disaster Preparation,” “Business” and “Managing Money,” as well as “Local Craft – Skill” as lesson unit content. Each lesson includes guided instructions for the teacher, including preparation, a script, and suggested activities to facilitate further learning in a fun and interactive manner.
